Thanks Mrs. Pope for making this a part of our holiday tradition!
2 packages frozen chopped spinach
4 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup spinach liquid
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
red pepper to taste
1 - 6 ounce Kraft jalapeno cheese spread
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
3/4-1 cup of bread crumbs
Cook and drain the spinach, reserving the liquid. Melt margarine
over medium-low heat, add flour and stir until smooth. Add the onion
and cook until tender. Slowly add spinach liquid. Add seasonings,
cheese, and spinach. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350-F degrees
for 30 minutes.
Serving Suggestions: Turkey or ham just can't be served without this at our house!
